Emily Dale controlled the course for a three-shot win at the Britton-Hecla Invitational golf tournament in Britton on Tuesday.
Dale shot an 85 to beat Chynna Stevens of Clark by three strokes.

“Emily had an outstanding day,” said coach Jason Weisbeck. “She kept the ball down the middle consistently and hit a lot of good putts. I’m very proud of her victory.”

The Lady Tigers had a consistent day with all six players placing in the top 13. Chelsy Hoffman shot 95 for third place, Michelle McClellan shot 101 for sixth and Aundrea Kramer shot 105 for eighth. Miranda Eisemann led off the second 10 with a 110 for 11th place. Breezy Kuehl rounded out the Lady Tiger scoring with a 112 for 13th place.

“Overall, the girls had an awesome start to the season,” said Weisbeck. “I was satisfied knowing they weren’t satisfied and still did well as a team.”

The Lady Tigers have another week to work on their games before competing in Groton on Tuesday.

“This team has a lot of potential. Let’s hope Mother Nature keeps things up and we can keep improving,” said Weisbeck. “We would love to make waves by the end of the season.”
