Zion Lutheran Church welcomes new associate

Pastor Seth A. Georgson became the associate pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in Mobridge and St. Jacobi Lutheran Church in Glenham at an ordination and installation ceremony on July 15.
Georgson, 26, went to grade school at Saint Paul Lutheran in Ixonia, Wis. He attended Luther Prep in Watertown, Wis., Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minn., and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, Wis. He spent his vicarship at Immanuel Lutheran in Salem, Ore., and during his senior year was the student assistant at Saint Mark Lutheran in Brown Deer, Wis. For relaxation Georgson enjoys hunting, fishing, computers and woodworking.
Georgson married Linden Valus, a native of Swartz Creek, Mich., on June 28, 2008. She graduated from Michigan Lutheran Seminary in Saginaw, Mich., and in 2008 received her bachelor’s degree in education from Martin Luther College. She has taught in Oregon and Wisconsin, and enjoys music, especially singing, piano and organ.
The Georgsons expect their first child in late January.
