A $3,400 donation from the Sage Brush Rifle and Pistol Club will help start a fund for the replacement of the American Legion Veterans Van.

The donation was made at the Jan. 4 meeting of Post 4 in Mobridge. Jeff Jensen of the Sage Brush Rifle and Pistol Club made the presentation. The group holds an annual military rifle competition as a fundraiser. The money in the past had been donated to the Honor Flight program, but with the completion of that program they opted to continue their support of veterans by donating to the van fund.

Legion members were reminded that their membership fees will increase $5 in July. Membership at Post 4 is at 75 percent of the goal.

The next meeting is Feb. 1 with dinner at 7 p.m. and the meeting to follow.
