Mildred Anderson Siem dies in Minn.

Mildred Anderson Siem, 94, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on Aug. 20, 2012, surrounded by loving family and friends, at Chapel View Care Center in Hopkins, Minn.
She was born in Mobridge. She was the daughter of Glenhilda Brita (Andy) Anderson.
She was a teacher, WWII defense worker, volunteer, wife and mother.
She was the last of the Anderson family who emigrated from Sweden in the 1870s.
Mildred was preceded in death by parents; husband, Ellsworth O. (Doc) Seim; two brothers, Willis and Kenneth Anderson.
Surviving are her children, Susan (Kenneth) Dirks, Craig (Marty) Seim and Robert (Doris) Seim; and grandsons, Andrew and Thomas Dirks.
Memorials can be sent to Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 715 Minnetonka Mills Road, Hopkins, Minn., 55343, or to the Mayo Clinic (Dr. David A. Ahlquist) for Alzheimer’s disease research in Rochester, Minn., in memory of Ellsworth O. Seim.
A memorial service was held Friday, August 24, 2012, at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Hopkins.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minn.
