His family was John Bosch’s greatest love
Mass of Christian Burial for John G. Bosch, 81, of Mobridge, was Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Mobridge.
Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge.
Visitation was Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the funeral home with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the church.
John passed away Sept. 12, 2012, at St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck, N.D.
John G. Bosch was born Sept. 28, 1930, to George and Martha (Hagel) Bosch in Emmons County, N.D. He attended school up until the eighth grade and later went to trade school in Fargo, N.D.
He joined the U.S. Marine Corps in November of 1951 and was honorably discharged in November of 1953. John was a PFC in the Korean War.
John married Luella Masset on Nov. 14, 1955, at the St. Bernard Catholic Church in Emmons County. He made his career owning a service station in Mobridge, and a radiator repair business for 45 years.
John was a member of the American Legion and Knights of Columbus.
His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy. John enjoyed baseball, fishing, hunting, baking cookies and gardening.
John is survived by his wife, Luella; two sons, Mike (Joni) Bosch of Iowa City, Iowa, and Jeff (LuAnne) Bosch of Mobridge; one daughter, Sharon (Matt) Wirth of Coralville, Iowa; grandchildren, Jared Bosch, Cassie (Chris) Ahern, Kristen (Jeremy) Reynolds, Nikki (Eric) Keller, Jenny (Jon) Beitelspacher, and Kristi (Kiurt) Rahlf; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Helen Stoppler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Martha Bosch; two brothers, Wendelin Bosch and Jacob Bosch; and two sisters, Rose Bernhart and Barbara Bosch.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church building fund.
