Members of the Mobridge Arts and Travel Club met Monday, Nov. 12, when the train pulled into the home of Lora Schultz.
President Jan Auble presided over the short business meeting and the group bid Arly Schnabel a fond farewell.
Jeaneane Buckmeier’s program on “The Wedding Train” was given by Joyce McClellan. This historical excursion train operates on about 20 miles of the former Chicago & NorthWestern track between the towns of Spooner and Springbrook, Wis. She told the group about the five different wedding packages you could choose from plus the scenic rail dining and bed and breakfast trains that are available.
Delphine Steuck also shared some information she learned about this train when they were neighbors at a trade show.
The next meeting will be on Nov. 26 at the home of Jeaneane Buckmeier.
