Eureka-Bowdle 50 • Timber Lake 45

Eureka-Bowdle took over late to defeat Timber Lake 50-45 in Bowdle on Monday.

The Patriots trailed by one entering the fourth quarter before finishing the game on a 22-16 run.

Austin Weiszhaar hit 10 of 11 free throws and led the Patriots with a game-high 23 points. Tyler Wipf scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds. The Patriots outscored the Panthers 18-8 from the charity stripe.

Kellon Lawrence hit four three-pointers and led Timber Lake with 17 points. Kyle Schumacher followed with 16 points.

Dupree put another notch in its holster with a 98-50 win over Philip in Philip on Saturday.

Fifth-ranked Dupree put the game away early putting 26 points on the board in the first quarter and 28 in the second quarter.

Nate Widow and Kash Deal combined for 59 points. Widow scored a game-high 30 points and added six rebounds. Deal hit 13 field goals as part of a 29-point game and added four assists. Dupree committed a mere four turnovers in the contest.

Thomas Doolittle led Philip with 12 points and five rebounds. Tate DeJong added 10 points.

Herreid-Selby Area led all the way in a 67-53 win over McIntosh in Selby on Saturday.

The Wolverines built a double-digit lead in the first half and held par throughout the second half.

Dakota Thorstenson led Herreid-Selby Area with a 16-point, 16-rebound double double. Nick Larson scored a team-high 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Lane Rossow and Cooper Schaefbauer added eight points each.

Cole Katus led three McIntosh players in double figures with 17 points. Kyle Mollman scored 16 and Bradyn Beer scored 14.

Ipswich used a balanced attack to take control of the game in the first half. Dustin Northrup led four Ipswich players in double figures with 18 points. Brayden Thares scored 17 points and Lane Myer scored 12. Logan Secker had an all-around game with 14 points, six rebounds, eight assists and three steals.

Kellon Lawrence led Timber Lake with 10 points. Kyle Schumacher added nine points.

Aberdeen Christian jumped out 24-17 before running off a 23-14 run in the second quarter.

Job Niewenhuis led Aberdeen Christian with 30 points. Matt Rohrbach and Sam Palmer scored 18 points each. Rohrbach led the team with five rebounds.

Josh Raile ripped off a 30-point night to lead the Patriots. Tyler Wipf scored 18 points and Austin Weiszhaar scored 12. Raile and Wipf pulled down six rebounds each.

Wakpala at Great Plains Tournament

Wakpala opened with a 73-60 win over Santee, but dropped close games to Marty Indian and Oelrichs at the Dakota Plains Invitational Tournament in Santee, Thursday through Saturday.

The Sioux lost as 64-60 game to Marty Indian on Friday and a 79-72 game to 16-1 Oelrichs on Saturday.
