Charlotte Goldade was mother of 12
Mass of Christian Burial for Charlotte Goldade, 79, of Timber Lake, was held Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Brian Christensen officiating.
Burial followed at Timber Lake Cemetery under the direction of Stout Family Funeral Home of Mobridge.
Charlotte passed away March 25, 2013, at Mobridge Regional Hospital.
Charlotte Goldade was born Jan. 23, 1934, on a ranch southwest of Isabel to Carl and Clara (Njos) TePoel. After her parents sold the ranch, they moved to Dupree for a year, then to Timber Lake where she attended Timber Lake Public School until she married her husband, Aloysius.
Charlotte and Aloysius first lived in town and then moved to a farm along Highway 63 from 1955 to 1961. They then moved to his dad’s farm four miles west of Timber Lake, where they raised their family and operated a dairy and small grain farm and raised stock cattle. In 1996 they retired and moved one-half mile north of the farm.
She loved dancing, listening to music, gardening, sewing and spending time with her family.
Aloysius died March 4, 2007. She resided at their home until June 2011 when she moved to Golden LivingCenter in Mobridge.
Charlotte is survived by 12 children, Thomas (Renee) Goldade of Ventura, Calif., A. Ray Goldade of Timber Lake, Michael (Mary) Goldade of Watertown, Stanley (Connie) Goldade of Aberdeen, David (Barb) Goldade of Isabel, Daniel (Diane) Goldade of Timber Lake, Gerald (Kathy Reiss) Goldade of Aberdeen, Patricia Ewer of Buffalo, Minn., Charlene (Rodney) Werkmeister of Aberdeen, Steven (Mary) Goldade of Florence, Robert (Lorissa) Goldade of Aberdeen, and Michelle (Sergio) Saravia of Sioux, City, Iowa; 32 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three more great-grandchildren on the way. Charlotte is also survived by her sisters, Jule Eidam of Gettysburg and Carol (Tom) Warburg of Port Orchard, Wash.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Aloysius; parents, Carl and Clara; two brothers, Hugh and Lee; and four sisters, Lily, Violet, Anne and Marie.
Casket bearers were Matthew, Ronald, Carl, Grant, Dustin, Devin, Alex and Andrew Goldade.
