Spring schedules taking hits as winter decides to stay

There will be spring sports sooner or later, but later is the operative word.
This week’s schedule is all but cancelled. Golf in Britton on Monday and the Big Dakota Track Meet in Miller on Tuesday have already been wiped from the schedule.
The Tigers lose a pair of imporant track meets this weekend. The American Legion Relays in Pierre have been cancelled for Friday.
The Harold Severson Relays in Lemmon where a hopeful, but were officially cancelled via email from Lemmon athletice director Brent Dirk at 10 a.m.
The middle school athletes lose out this week too. The middle school track meet schedule for Thursday in Eureka will not be run. The MS/JV golf triangular scheduled in Pierre on Friday has been cancelled. If weather lets it happen, the middle school track team will be a part of the meet in Lemmon on Saturday.
Cancellations have already trickled into next week as there will be no Groton Invitational golf tournament on Monday.
