Goldie Fischer dies in Rapid City

Goldie M. Fischer, 92, of Rapid City and formerly of Mobridge, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, of natural causes at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Goldie was born on July 17, 1920, at Canata, S.D., to Clyde and Wilma (Jacobs) Sharp. She was raised on a ranch southeast of Interior. Goldie was one of 17 children.
Goldie married Alfred McIlravy in June of 1943 and later married Lloyd Fischer of Mobridge in June of 1962.
She is survived by two daughters, Wilma Schone of Riverton, Wyo., and Shirley Hoey of Rapid City; two sons, LeRoy (Joleen) McIlravy of Gillette, Wyo., and Marvin (Joyce) McIlravy of Box Elder; four brothers, Jake, Clyde, Claude and Robert Sharp; her sister, Donna Bounds of Black Hawk; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Goldie was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Alfred McIlravy and Lloyd Fischer; a son, Ronald McIlravy; brothers, Tom, Wilson, Willard, Calvin, Albert and Ben Sharp; and sisters, June Mendenhall, Celeste Teal and Rose Bonvillan.
A private inurnment will be done at a later date in Mobridge. Kirk Funeral Home of Rapid City was entrusted with the arrangements. Friends may sign Goldie’s online guestbook at www.kirkfuneralhome.com.
