Funeral services for Melodie Filler, 44, of Fort Pierre, and formerly of Mobridge, will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Gramm Funeral Home in Ipswich.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to the time of the service at the funeral home on Thursday.
Melodie was born Nov. 18, 1968, to Don and Mary (Holzwarth) Bossert in Mobridge. She attended school in Mobridge and worked several jobs there.
She married Myron Filler on Dec. 31, 1993. They made their first home in Mobridge. They later moved to Fort Pierre when Myron was transferred with his job at UPS. Melodie continued to work in several restaurants as a waitress.
Melodie loved flowers and her family. Her world was broken when Myron died at an early age.
Melodie died on Friday, May 31, 2013, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.
She is survived by her parents, Don and Mary Bossert of Ipswich; one sister, Ronda Stevens of Seattle, Wash.; three brothers, Dale Bossert of Fort Pierre, Kevin Bossert of Spearfish and Tom Bossert of Redfield; aunts and uncles, Kathy and Mike Hart of Jordan, Minn., Jay and Connie Bossert of Nebraska, and Jim Bossert and his children of Nebraska; as well as two nieces, Casey and Mackenzie Stevens of Seattle.
Melodie was preceded in death by her husband, Myron; brother, Cory; aunt, Judy Bossert; uncle, Harvey Bossert; and her grandparents.
