Laura Imberi Oyler

Laura Jean Imberi Oyler, 49, entered into eternal peace, surrounded by her husband and sisters at her home in Denver, Colo., on Thursday, June 20, 2013.
Laura was born on Jan. 13, 1964, in Mobridge, to Alex and Jean (Voegele) Imberi. She was the sixth of seven children.
Laura lived in Mobridge until moving to Rapid City with her family in 1974. She married Bob Oyler in 1987 in Rapid City, where they lived until moving to Ft. Walton Beach, Fla. They also lived in Birmingham, Ala., and most recently, Denver. Of all the places she called home, Ft. Walton Beach held a special place in her heart.
Laura’s career was in the food and beverage industry. Her last position was as a sales consultant for Orion Foods. Her career led to a lifelong appreciation of fine dining. She also enjoyed gourmet cooking, entertaining, gardening, road trips, and most of all her cats Jianna and Kay-Kay.
Even though she battled cancer for the last 13 years, she enjoyed each and every day.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bob Oyler; step-daughter, Erika (Ryan) Young; father and stepmother, Alex and Lynda Imberi; three sisters, Deborah (Jerry Long) of Denver, Brenda (Cling) Imberi-Dattel of Arvada, Colo., and Sandra Ioakimi of Kehei, Hawaii; two brothers, Michael Imberi of Sundance, Wyo., and John Imberi of Hot Springs; five stepbrothers and four stepsisters.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Voegele Imberi, and brother, David Imberi.
A private family celebration of her life was held at the home of Bob and Laura on Saturday, June 22, 2013. A memorial service will be held in Rapid City at a later date.
