Rez Sox claim kickball tourney title

With an undefeated day, the Rez Sox won the fifth annual Mobridge Co-ed Kickball Tournament at the softball complex on Saturday.
The Rez Sox, made up of players from the McLaughlin area, defeated Mobridge team Pitches Be Crazy in the semifinals and again in the championship.
Defending champs Jiminy Kickits lost early and fought back to finish in third place. Some of the members of Jiminy Kickets were on the tournament champion team four straight years.
Members of the champion Rez Sox were Dustin Talley, Mike Talley, Doug Crow Ghost, Galen Crow Ghost, Derek Stewart, Don Verscella, Teresa Talley, Jessie Fischer, Renae Talley, Kayla Alkire, Shayla Gayton, McKenna Vetter, Sarah Talley, Kiana Maxon, Chris Mills, Hank Taken Alive, Shanlee Taken Alive, Dennis Walking Elk and Tonia White Bull.
Second place Pitches Be Crazy had Monica Bailey, Kassidy Keller, Callie Slater, Tage Hanson, Kyle Higgins, Skyler McCollam, Mason Keller, Jesse Brewer, Tyler Schaefbuaer, Daniel Roberts and Michelle McClellan.
Members of third place Jiminy Kickits were Dan Merkel, Haden Bowie, Brian Hanson, Nick Davis, Misty Ryckman, Carissa Aberle, Derik Dietterle, Amanda Hermes, Courtney Davis, Spencer Merkel, Adrie Dupper, Susie Harlow, Collin Jensen, Austin Simons and Austin Iverson.
Thirteen teams played in this year’s tournaments. All money raised in the tournament go to remodeling and improving the fields at the softball complex.
