A Java man was killed in a one-vehicle accident, Sunday Sept. 22, on S.D. Highway 130, three miles east of Selby.

According to the South Dakota Highway Patrol at 11:40 a.m., Clyde Bieber, 51, of Java was driving a 2008 Ford F-150 pickup eastbound on S.D. Highway 130. The pickup drove off the south shoulder of the road and Bieber overcorrected his steering, lost control of the vehicle and then entered back into the south ditch where his vehicle rolled. Bieber was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the pickup. He was transported to Mobridge Regional Hospital where he died from injuries sustained in the crash.

No further information is immediately available.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating with the assistance of the Walworth County Sheriff’s Department.
