The Lady Tigers took advantage of a six-day break to put in a new scheme. They took their new attack to the floor in McLaughlin on Monday and came away with a 3-0 win.
The Lady Tigers beat the Lady Midgets 25-17, 25-10, 26-24.
“We made a change, running a 6-2, and the girls handled that pretty well,” said coach Keir Bolduan. “It will take some time for the girls to adjust to the change, but overall they handled it pretty well.”
Cassi Heumiller led a service night that led to 15 aces. Heumiller was 17 of 17 with seven aces, while Becca Martin had three aces and Maranda Wagner had two.
“We served aggressively,” said Bolduan.
The Lady Tigers were balanced up front as Ellie Rabenberg and Kayleigh Henderson had seven kills each. Chelsy Hoffman added five kills. As a team, the Lady Tigers had 29 kills.
“Ellie had a good night at the net for us, as did Kayleigh,” said Bolduan.
Heumiller and Martin split setting duties, combining for 17 assists.
Maranda Wagner led the defense with 12 digs. Henderson had three blocks.
Shayla Gayton and McKenna Vetter had seven kills each to lead the Lady Midgets. Jada Vetter added six kills. Mc-Kenna Vetter had eight assists, while Chantel Mellette had three blocks.

Timber Lake
The Lady Tigers will host the 15-4 Lady Panthers of Timber Lake at Mobridge-Pollock High School Gymnasium on Thursday. The first of three matches starts at 5:30 p.m.
“Thursday will be a tough match against Timber Lake,” said Bolduan. “They played us tough in our home tournament. We need to go out and play focused and hard every point.”
