-By Katie Zerr

A Mobridge Police officer arrested a state prison inmate who walked away from a work assignment in Sioux Falls in December 2012 and now has been returned to the custody of the state.

On Friday, Oct. 18, a caller alerted the police that inmate Wilson Two Lance Jr. was walking into Mobridge from the western edge of town. He was taken into custody and transported to the Walworth County Jail, where he was held until Edmunds County authorities took him into custody. He had been serving a ten-year sentence with six years suspended for Fifth Offense DUI in Edmunds County.

Two Lance Jr. left his community service job in Sioux Falls on Dec. 29, 2012 without authorization.

He was returned to the Jameson Annex of the South Dakota State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls.
