Bonnie R. LaPlant, 50, of Timber Lake, passed away Nov. 6, 2013, from complications of a stroke in 2007.
At her request, no service will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Bonnie was born in Ainsworth, Neb., to Lyel and Cleo (Brown) LaPlant. She attended school in Timber Lake and graduated from Timber Lake High School in 1981. She attended Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute in New Mexico for photography. She enjoyed college so much she attended another year at Northern State in Aberdeen.
She enjoyed trips to the Black Hills. Special times for her were family holidays. She was always looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas.
She enjoyed working in food service. Bonnie was a cook, waitress and bartender.
Bonnie’s life took a different path after her stroke in 2007. She moved to Mobridge Golden LivingCenter in 2008. There she enjoyed crafts, bingo and visiting with staff and residents. She was able to go home on weekends and spend time with the love of her life, Rick Seidel.
She is survived by her love of 27 years, Rick Seidel of Timber Lake; sisters, Toni Offutt of East View, Ky., and Monica Mathis of Shady Cove, Ore.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, a sister and a brother.
