The next performance in the Bridge City Concert Association series is a tribute to ABBA, a Swedish vocal group, and is titled Thank You for the Music.
The concert is Saturday, March 1, at 8 p.m. in the Mobridge-Pollock Junior High Theater.
The four singers loosely play the roles of the original ABBA, which was two married couples. The concert will feature powerful harmonies, high-energy dance and ABBA hits such as “Dancing Queen,” “Waterloo,” “Take a Chance on Me,” “Fernando” and “Mamma Mia.”
The show is more than a vocal review of ABBA music. It features scripted dialogue that moves the show from song to song and highlights some of the more important aspects of the original quartet. It is all done in good humor with lots of laughs, according to the press release.
