JAY DAVIS: Help needed in finding track names

Weather has decided not to cooperate so for the second straight year there will be no Mobridge Rotary/Tiger Relays.

With the forecasted temperatures to be right around the freezing level when the meet was set to start at noon, it has been decided that the risk of injury to athletes is greater than their chances of having success on the track.

So, with no track meet to attend as the Easter weekend approaches, I have a homework assignment for all of you.

You will notice in the Spring Sports Preview the record books forthe Rotary Relays, the Yellowstone Trail Conference Meet and the Little Moreau Conference Meet. I’ve added the Big Dakota Conference Meet below (the CSDC records are almost complete).

What you see missing is a lot of first names and complete relay teams. I would love to get each and every name for every worthy athlete added to my record books.

In case you haven’t noticed in the past, I kind of have a thing for having sports histories at my disposal. I’ve spent hour upon hour in the past getting the histories of all the Tiger sports and still have many hours to go.

Here is a place that you all can be of great help. I know many of you readers will recognize (or even be) one of the names in question. If you can help me with this endeavor, feel free to send an email my way at sports@mobridgetribune.com.

Thanks, have a wonderful Easter and may a warm sun shine on you soon.
