Eureka-Selby defeats Teeners in 11-6 game

Brady Fiedler threw five innings of four-hit, nine-strikeout ball to lead Eureka-Selby to an 11-3 win over Mobridge at Legion Memorial Field on Tuesday.

Brady Fiedler threw five innings of four-hit, nine-strikeout ball to lead Eureka-Selby to an 11-3 win over Mobridge at Legion Memorial Field on Tuesday.

Eureka-Selby got off to a quick start and avenged a season opening loss by beating the Teeners 11-3 at Legion Memorial Field on Tuesday.
Eureka-Selby jumped out with a five-run rally in the first inning. Brady Fiedler, Trevor Begeman and Austin Moser had three straight RBI hits before Chase LaCoursiere finished the rally with a two-RBI hit.
Mobridge got back in the game with single runs in the first, second and fourth innings. Carson Keller singled and scored in the first. Jordan Bachmeier singled and scored in the second. Brady Greger walked and scored in the third.
Eureka-Selby put the game away with four runs in the fifth and one run each in the sixth and seventh. Elijah Bohle had hits and scored runs in the fifth and sixth.
Fiedler earned the win for Eureka-Selby. He threw five innings of four-hit ball with nine strikeouts. John Begeman pitched the last two innings for the save.
Bohle, Moser and LaCoursiere had three hits each to lead the Eureka-Selby offense. Moser reached base five times and scored three runs. Bohle scored three more runs. Carson Vander Vorst reached base five times on a hit and four walks.
Keller led Mobridge with two hits. Greger and Chase had a single each. Dylan Cerney hit an RBI double that drove in Keller in the first inning.
Eureka-Selby scored seven runs in the first and eight in the seventh to beat Mobridge 15-6 in the non-regulation game.
Emmit Bohle and John Kolar led Eureka-Selby with two hits and two runs each.
Michael Davis led Mobridge with a hit, a walk and two runs scored. Sam Good Shield, Josh Chase, Nathan Bauer and Killian Warner scored one run each.
The Teeners host Warner at Legion Memorial Field on Monday. Game time is 6 p.m.
