Dahlgren is the daughter of Keith and Linda Dahlgren and plans to attend Black Hills State University. Looyenga is the son of Martin and Deb Looyenga and plans to attend South Dakota State University. Dahlgren and Looyenga each received a $500 scholarship.
This year Dacotah Bank awarded more than 40 scholarships to graduating high school seniors. More than $20,000 was awarded to students from Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
This is the 15th year that Dacotah Bank has matched South Dakota Bankers Foundation funds to provide scholarships to assist regional student in post-secondary success.
An independent panel of three judges, not associated with Dacotah Bank, chose the winners. The applicants were high school seniors whose immediate family has account relationships with Dacotah Bank, Dacotah Insurance, Dacotah Trust, or the Investment Centers of America located at many Dacotah Banks.
