Investigation leads to more arrests

Two Mobridge residents were arrested on drug-related charges this week, bringing the total to six in a case that started with four other arrests on Sunday, June 29.

Mobridge Police arrested Stan Schily, 59, on Monday, July 1, at his home in Mobridge. He is facing charges of manufacturing, distribution or dispensing of a controlled substance, a Class 4 felony.

Judy Pfeifle, 53, was arrested on Tuesday, July 2, when an officer went to a First Street East residence to speak with her. Pfeifle attempted to flee and resisted arrest. She was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.

She has also made her initial court appearance and was charged with possession of a controlled substance, a Class 5 felony and possession of 2 ounces or less of marijuana, a misdemeanor.

Her cash bond was set at $2,500.

Schily posted his $2,500 cash bond and has been released.

Mobridge resident Aaron Sackreiter, who was arrested on June 29 on charges related to the discovery of methamphetamine in the home he was renting, also posted bond and was released from the Walworth County Jail.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing and more arrests are expected according to local law enforcement.
