A Mobridge woman is in a Bismarck hospital after suffering serious head injuries in a fall at a Mobridge home.

Mobridge emergency services were called to a First Avenue East home at 3:14 a.m. Thursday, March 22, where Ericka Davis, 39, had fallen down a flight of stairs into the basement.

According to a family member, Davis suffered serious head injuries and was flown to Bismarck on Thursday.

Mobridge Police Chief Mike Nehls said the fall appears to be an accident.

“We are still gathering all of the facts,” he said Monday, March 26. “The report states the witness said the light wasn’t on and she seemed to lose her balance and fell.”

Nehls said police need to follow up on any information that they receive and will not close the investigation until that is done.
