Shauni Schwartz of Herreid has been named third team to the 2012 Girls’ Class B All-State Basketball team.
Schwartz led the Herreid-Selby Area Wolverines to an 18-4 record and the Yellowstone Trail Conference tri-championship by averaging 17 points per game. The 5-10 junior forward also pulled down 8.4 rebounds and picked off four steals per game.
This is the second time this year that Schwartz has earned all-state honors. She was named third team all-state volleyball after leading the Wolverines to the consolation championship at the State B Volleyball Tournament. She was also an all-state golfer last spring, taking 10th place at the State B Golf Tournament in May.
Shauni is the daughter of Dean and Danette Schwartz of Herreid.
