The annual end of summer celebration in Mobridge, Beef ‘n Fun Day, is set and ready to say goodbye to the warm weather and welcome the change of season.

On Saturday, Sept. 11, the all-day event begins with a 5K walk/run at 7:30 a.m. and concludes with the ranch rodeo in the evening.

The day is packed with fun for the whole family including a volleyball tournament, a classic car show, a pet parade, youth football, the threshing bee and open air market and much more.

The free beef dinner, which is served at the Mobridge Rodeo Grounds, is the centerpiece of the event, with the Mobridge Ambassadors preparing the beef again this year.

The 33-year celebration is spread across the city with events held at various venues including the Klein Museum, the City Park, Main Street and the Rodeo Grounds. There will be events just for the kids, including free train rides in the City Park and a free movie at the Mac Theater.

The celebration, established in 1977, is a thank you to area retail patrons for coming to Mobridge and is sponsored by the Mobridge area retailers.

A complete schedule of events will be printed in next week’s Tribune.
