Change to 3B tax defeated

Area residents on Tuesday, chose to keep the 3B tax funds working to promote the city and fund special events by defeating a referral of Ordnance #941, the use of the tax revenue.

The Oahe Area Retired Teachers sponsored a grandparent essay contest with fifth-grade students from the area. Participating schools were Selby Area and Mobridge-Pollock Upper Elementary. Approximately 70 students participated and Mariah Goehring from Mobridge-Pollock (Mrs. Huber’s class) won first place.
