Joan Ness, 82, of Sioux Falls, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, at Avera Dougherty Hospice in Sioux Falls. Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Donna passed away peacefully at Golden LivingCenter on Oct. 22, 2016, at the age of 87. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016, at United Congregational Church in Mobridge.

Former Mobridge resident Clarence Gunther, 86, passed away on Sept. 6, 2016, in Colorado. Clarence D. Gunther was born on Feb. 1, 1930, in Gascoyne, N.D., the son of Carl and Helen (Maychzack) Gunther. He was raised in Gascoyne and Mobridge.

Four-time defending Class B champion Warner took control of the second half of sets to defeat the Lady Tigers 3-0 at Mobridge-Pollock High School Gym on Friday. The Lady Tigers crept a little closer every set, but the Monarchs won 25-16, 25-18, 25-22.
