Edwin Rivinius was born to William and Sophia Rivinius on July 30, 1920, in Coleharbor, N.D. His parents were German immigrants from Odessa, Russia. Edwin was the oldest of eight children. Edwin died peacefully in his sleep on the morning of Feb. 28, 2017, at the age of 97.

I find myself in a very strange place this week. I am about to take the side of people that I find are some of the most reprehensible, divisive, individuals to ever get in front of a microphone.

To say that the Mobridge and surrounding area communities are generous in their support of their neighbors, organizations and causes is a gross understatement, according to people in the know.
