Christine passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Walworth County Care Center in Selby.
Christine Brockel Moser was born on Oct. 21, 1928, to Phillip Jr. and Rose (Beck) Brockel in Campbell County. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Herreid High School in 1946. After graduation, she attended Northern in Aberdeen and received her teaching certificate. She taught at a country school prior to getting married.
She met her life’s partner, Carl Moser, at church where both families attended. They were married on Dec. 18, 1947, at Herreid Baptist Church. In the spring of 1948, they moved to Walworth County to their current farm. They worked the family farm together, raising livestock and grain, along with their four children: Gary, Harley, Wes and Pam.
Christine was a Christian who loved going to camp meetings and attending church services. She would share scripture from memory with everyone she visited. She enjoyed her family and supported them with her prayers. She moved to Walworth County Care Center in May 2021 and lived there until her death.
