Colton Eagle funeral held

Funeral services for Colton Eagle, 32, of Rapid City, were held on Friday, Sept. 11, 2020, at Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge.

Interment was in Elkhorn UCC Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home.

Colton passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020, at Monument Hospice House in Rapid City.

Colton James Eagle, son of Anthony Taken Alive and Kim Eagle, was born on June 30, 1988. He lived most of his young life with his mother’s family in North Dakota. When Colton was older, he came to Little Eagle to live with his father’s family. He lived the past three years in Rapid City, working at various jobs and enjoying life. Colton was hard working, well mannered, and had a great sense of humor. He as very loved by family and friends.

He is survived by his sons, Alexander Ducheneaux and Louis Bob Tail Bear; father, Tony Taken Alive of McLaughlin; mother, Kim Eagle of Bismarck, North Dakota; grandmother, Debra Eagle of Bismarck; uncles, Walter Taken Alive and Marcel Taken Alive; grandfather, Whitney Spotted Horse; grandmother, Alvina Howard; brother, Draven Eagle; and sisters, Natalia Eagle, Kodi Eagle and Morgan Eagle.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Maynard Taken Alive; grandmother, Kathleen Walking Elk; sister, LaCosta Eagle; and many other relatives too numerous to name.
