Heavy Impact wins derby title

Team Heavy Impact won the main event at the Mobridge Demolition Derby, held Saturday at Mobridge Rodeo Grounds.
Driving for the 2018 champions were Jeremy Timm and Matt Erickson of Aberdeen, Ryan Sandve of Tolstoy and Stuart Orth of Lidgerwood, N.D. Erickson was named the winner of the Mad Dog Award.
Heavy D and The Destroyers took second with Derrick Orth of Mobridge, Mike Deunwald of Hoven, Joe Lehman of Pierre and Chad “Gunner” Schroeder manning the wheels.
Team Black and Blue featuring Dyllan Rohrbach and Jeremy Schlecht of Bowdle, Blake Stieglemeier of Britton and Cory Miller of Dickinson, N.D., took third.
In the Limited finals, Kurt Himanga took first place, Ron Winterberg of Timber Lake took second, Mobridge driver Josh Fischer took third and Beau Walker took fourth. Hudson Frankfurth of Mobridge won the Limited Mad Dog award.
