Lynn Holzer’s smile was as big as her heart

Lynn Renee (Harrison) Holzer was born on Dec. 4, 1953, to parents Ken and Lucille (Otie) Harrison in Appleton, Wisconsin. She grew up with three older brothers and spent most of her childhood in Mobridge, graduating high school there in 1972.
That same year, she married Richard Holzer and together they had three children:
Shawn, Amy and Crissie.
After Richard finished serving in the U.S. Navy, they returned to South Dakota, making their home in Mobridge and later in Aberdeen.
Lynn graduated from North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota, in 1993 with a B.S. in human development. Lynn stayed there permanently, and after working at the YWCA Shelter, she retired form Thrifty White Drug as a pharmacy tech on Dec. 30, 2022.
Lynn enjoyed traveling, watching sports, listening to the Beatles and other music, and spending time with family and friends in her spare time. Her smile was as big as her heart, and she lived out her life lifting up others.
Lynn passed away due health complications on Aug. 19, 2023, peacefully in her Fargo home with her daughters by her side.
She is survived by son, Shawn (Kristen) Holzer; daughter, Amy Wieland; and daughter, Crissie (Eric) Magness; brothers, Larry (Phyllis) Harrison, Mick (Noreen) Harrison, and Tom (Betty) Harrison; grandkids, Hailee Wieland, Brooklyn Wieland, William Holzer and Wakeley Holzer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death her father, Ken Harrison, mother, Lucille (Otie) Harrison, and her grandparents.
Memorial services were held at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo on Aug. 28, 2023.
