Megan Zahn named BDC honorable mention

Lady Tiger sophomore Megan Zahn was named honorable mention to the Big Dakota All-Conference Basketball Team.
Zahn improved all season and posted her two best BDC games at the end of the year. Zahn recorded a 10-point, 12-rebound, double-double against Winner after scoring 11 points and grabbing four boards against Todd County. In seven conference games, Zahn scored 55 points and grabbed 45 rebounds.
The Big Dakota All-Conference Team is: senior, Gabriel Kocer, junior Morgan Hammerbeck, sophomore Maddie LaCompte and freshman Bella Swedlund of Winner; senior Justice Fire Cloud and junior Reese Ganje of Cheyenne-Eagle Butte; junior Devin Archambault of McLaughlin; juniors Kadye Fernholz and VonnaGail Schlechter of Miller; seniors Raven Cournoyer and Kelsie Herman of Todd County; and senior Mady Handel of Chamberlain.
Joining Zahn on honorable mention are: junior Markee Shaving of Cheyenne-Eagle Butte; senior Sarah Hunter and freshmen Rozee Drapeau and Audrey Drapeau of Crow Creek; senior Treyah Sitting Bear and junior Hannah Anderson of Chamberlain; and senior Madison Thieman of Winner.
Winner won the Big Dakota Conference title with a 7-0 record. Todd County was 6-1, Miller 5-2, Chamberlain 2-4, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 2-5, McLaughlin 1-4 and Mobridge-Pollock 0-7. The conference schedule was incomplete this season due to the harsh winter conditions.
