Offense, pitching dominate in Teeners 20-0 win


Gavin Farlee threw a three-inning no-hitter as the 13-14 Teeners defeated Onida 20-0 in Onida on June 24.

The 13-14 Teeners beat Onida in a run-away for the second time this season with a 20-0 win in Onida on Wednesday.
The game took just three innings after the Teeners reeled off a 19-run second inning.
Gavin Farlee, Faith Heil and Peter Fried hit three straight singles to get the second inning started. The next three batters walked and Jackson Eisemann was hit by a pitch to give Mobridge a 5-0 lead. Shane Henderson followed with single to score the sixth run. Three more walks followed before Jacy Netterville reached on an error that produced the 11th run. Simon Fried came up with a 2-RBI single. More walks came before Farlee delivered an RBI hit to make the score 15-0. Five more walks led to the next four runs.
A Jackson Eisemann triple and a Henderson ground out produced the team’s 20th run in the top of the third.
Farlee took advantage of his offense’s run scoring to throw a three-inning no-hitter. Farlee faced 12 batters, walking three and striking out three.
Every Mobridge players scored a run and every player had an RBI in the game. Simon Fried scored three runs and drove four runs home. Peter Fried had three runs and three RBIs. Farlee had a team-leading two hits, while scoring three times and driving two home. Netterville had two runs and three RBIs and Faith Heil scored three runs.
The 13-14 Teeners host Lemmon tonight at 5:30 p.m. at Legion Memorial Field. They take to the road tomorrow to play Leola/Frederick in Leola at 5 p.m.
