Olson takes second, three Tigers medal at Chamberlain


Kamron Pearman led the Tigers with an 11th-place finish at the Chamberlain Invitational/Big Dakota Conference Meet on Thursday.

Heidi Olson took second place and the boys had three medal winners at the Chamberlain Invitational/Big Dakota Conference Meet at Chamberlain Country Club on Thursday.
Olson ran 19 minutes, 18.86 seconds for her second-place finish. She came in behind Kinsey Evans of Chamberlain, who ran 19:04.9. Lindsey Roth of Ethan/Parkston took third and Allison Hough of Chamberlain took fourth. All four girls medaled at the State A Cross Country Meet last year. While race winner Evans was 13th and Olson was 19th, Hough took fifth in state and Roth took eighth. Jacy Netterville ran 24:41 to finish 42nd.
No Tiger cracked the top 10, but three did finish in the top 20. Kamron Pearman led the Tiger contingent, taking 11th place at 18:24. Remmington Ford took 16th at 18:33 and Blaise Thompson took 19th at 18:43.
Bryston Vetch just missed medaling, coming in 21st at 18:44. Kody Keller ran 19:26 for 30th. Chad Good Shield ran 21:14 for 55th and Logan Vetch ran 21:20 for 57th.
With three medals runs, the Tigers took fourth as a team with 45 points. Led by Kade Watson in fourth, Winner won the team title with 26 points. Dom Santiago of Chamberlain crossed the finish line at 16:45 to win the boys’ division.

Busy week
The cross country team will be putting on the miles this week.
They are running in the Faulkton Invite this at Lakeside Country Club in Faulkton today, race in the Rapid City Invitational at Hart Ranch Campground on Friday and run in the Miller Invite on Monday.
