Selby man dies in one-vehicle accident

A Selby man died Thursday, April 18, in a one-vehicle accident north of Akaska.
According to the South Dakota Highway Patrol (SDHP)spokesman, Scott Goldade, 55, was driving a 2002 Ford F150 pickup northbound on 303rd Avenue near the intersection of 140th Street when he lost control on the gravel road. The vehicle went into the east ditch, knocked over a road sign and eventually rolled.
According to the SDHP report, Goldade, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident was investigated by South Dakota’s Highway Patrol.
