Wayne Thompson dies in Oklahoma


Wayne “Wayneo” Dean Thompson, 47, of Perry, Okla., passed away on Dec. 5, 2014, at Integris Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City, Okla., due to heart complications.
Wayne attended grade school in McLaughlin and Selfridge, N.D., and graduated from McLaughlin High School in 1985.
Wayne enjoyed fishing and hanging out with the guys. He became a roofing expert and did many jobs in our surrounding area. He moved back to Oklahoma and worked until his death.
He is survived by his mother, Sharon Howe Thompson Walker of McLaughlin; father, Duane Thompson of Perry; and brother, Don Ray (Lori) Thompson of Longmont, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Troy Lee Thompson; maternal grandparents, Donald and Carrie Howe of McLaughlin, and uncles, Done Howe, Tom Howe and Vern Howe; paternal grandparents, Ray and Opal Thompson and uncle Dean Thompson.
Burial will be in the spring in McLaughlin.
