First Snowfall

The first snow of the year fell on Wednesday, Oct. 10, with a coating of white on streets, lawns and foliage. According to the National Weather Service, after a dry July and August, 4.58 inches of precipitation has fallen in Mobridge since Sept. 1. That does not include what has fallen since midnight Oct. 10.

Breast Cancer Fundraiser

The ‘Pink Auction’ fundraiser  held Monday, Oct. 1, at the Pizza Ranch was part of day devoted to the New Hope Foundation. Dakota Radio Group and the Mobridge Tribune teamed up to raise a more than $3,000 for the foundation throughout the day.

Pink Games

Teams played a variety of games, such a giant beanbag, at Scherr-Howe Event Center during the 5 Keg Cancer Awareness Walk, held Saturday, Sept. 29. The walk and bra auction hosted by Northwest Beverage raised funds for cancer awareness and prevention.
